Metallica Previews “Blacklist” Covers Album

Metallica fans are getting a preview of their upcoming “Blacklist” covers album. St. Vincent has unveiled her cover of “Sad But True.”

“The Metallica Blacklist” brings together a whopping 53 artists celebrating the 30th anniversary of Metallica’s“Black Album.” Along with St. Vincent, Weezer, Ghost, Cage The Elephant, Portugal. The Man, Phoebe Bridgers, Miley Cyrus, Elton John, and many more put their spin on Metallica classics for the album. Check out St. Vincent’s cover of “Sad But True.”

Jason Isbell and the 400 UnitChris Stapleton and several other country artists are also featured on “The Metallica Blacklist.” Jason’s contribution to the album has been released. He is covering “Sad But True,” as well. 

“Pretty proud of how this turned out,” Jason shared on Twitter. “I hoped the song would work as a Hill Country stomper, and I do believe it did. So much fun.”
