Judas Priest On Their State Farm Commercial Spot

Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford is psyched about the band’s spot in a recent State Farm commercial. If you’ve been watching TV lately, there’s a chance you heard their hit “Breaking The Law” at least a few times.

The commercial is part of a continuing series featuring NFL star Aaron Rodgers, his fictional sports agent Gabe Gabriel, and actual State Farm agent Patrick Minnis. Judas Priest’s song comes in when Gabriel says his client doesn’t know how to play it safe, promoting State Farm’s safe driving app.

Halford says he didn’t know at first the song was being used. But he doesn’t mind, he thinks it’s “beautiful” that Priest’s music is so “embedded in American culture.” “What a great song to choose,” he adds. “That’s cool, it’s a heavy metal bonus.”
