Chris Cornell’s Daughter Donates Prince Cover Proceeds

Back in 2018, Chris Cornell’s daughter Toni released a duet with her late father covering Prince’s hit “Nothing Compares 2 U.” Now, the 15-year-old has announced she’s donating $20,000 in proceeds from the cover to benefit the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

“Nothing compares to you daddy… I will keep the promise and always speak out for those who do not have a voice,” she writes on Instagram. “I’m proud and honored to continue your legacy. I love you. I miss you.”

Toni made the donation via her parents’ charity, the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation. The IRC provides health care, education, shelter, clean water and more aid to survivors in conflict and disaster areas around the world.

  • ONE MORE THING! Meanwhile, there’s more drama between Soundgarden and the late frontman’s widow Vicky. In the latest docs from their ongoing legal battle, she blasts the band for never reaching out to her after her late husband’s death. She also says that the surviving band members charged her private flight to his memorial as a tour expense instead of paying out of pocket.
