Billie Joe Armstrong Covers “I Think We’re Alone Now”
Green Day’s touring schedule has taken a hit from coronavirus, but Billie Joe Armstrong is determined to keep fans entertained. He’s released a new cover of “I Think We’re Alone Now,” recorded during quarantine.
“While we’ve all been in quarantine I’ve been reflecting on the things that matter the most in my life: Family, friends, and of course music,” he writes on Instagram. “I figure if we have to spent this time in isolation at least we can be alone together.”
“I Think We’re Alone Now” was originally written by Ritchie Cordell, but made famous by Tommy James & The Shondells in 1967, and Tiffany Darwish in 1987.
